Encaustic is an art process that uses wax as a medium for pigment. Great for embedding favourite things – prints, drawings, bus tickets… A creative medium with some fabulously luscious results! Use it to achieve mixed media results. Learn a new medium which is almost as old as civilisation…

This workshop is suitable for both encaustic novices or experienced practitioners… and takes you through how to use the encaustic medium and the possibilities of this wonderful stuff! Take home several small artworks.

It is suitable for past participants who have previously completed an encaustic class. Here’s a chance to hone your skills, try new things and get expert advice and answers to all your questions.

Price: $95 + $30 materials for materials…

Materials: Encaustic medium is included in the materials levy, along with basic tools required for Encaustic work. A list of suggested materials will be sent with notification of enrollment. Extra materials will be available for purchase at the workshop.
