Amanda Ruck – painter

Amanda Ruck graduated from the Canberra School of Art in 1988 with a Bachelor of Art, Visual, in Printmaking. After teaching Lithography for six months in 1989 at the School of Art, Amanda moved to Melbourne… When landscapes, and particularly clouds, became a major focus Amanda seized an opportunity and moved to the Yarra Valley in 1998.
Amanda’s technique previously involved printmaking and extensive periods of cutting and pasting; using collage, ink, pencil and pastel. From 2005-2008 she was exhibition coordinator of The Yering Station Art Gallery and co-coordinated the Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition & Awards. Amanda now paints with acrylic on canvas. Her work is permanently on display at Medhurst Wines Cellar Door, which she manages.
