Melissa Shemanna – Visionary
I embrace my art with the same philosophy as my life – to seek deep truth and honour the Mother Shakti inherent in all creation. The language I communicate through my art is rich and sensual, earthy and cosmic with a diversity that delves into ancient cultures, sacred practices, spiritual nectar and the unity consciousness of our whole existence. I seek to emulate the luminosity of light and colour, combining the ancient masters technique of oil glazes and egg tempera paints, which I mix myself from pure pigments and traditional me-diums. I aim to produce quality works of art with extra-ordinary contemporary visionary content.
